Our Workplace Computing program offers intensive technology training for individuals whose career paths require frequent and proficient use of digital tools. Designed to accommodate a range of skill levels, this program equips students with the practical knowledge needed to thrive in today’s technology-driven work environments.
Through a combination of hands-on instruction, individual tasks, and collaborative projects, participants develop both competence and confidence in using technology. The program also emphasizes independent learning, helping students adapt to new and evolving technologies with ease. Room and board are provided for in-person participants and remote training is available for eligible individuals.

What You’ll Learn
You’ll work one-on-one and in group settings with our experienced team to build comprehensive computer skills essential for competitive employment. Training topics include Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, Cross-Application Tools for Efficiency and Navigation, Web Browsing Skills, and AI Tools.
We offer three program levels based on each client’s prior experience and career goals:
- Computing Basics – For beginners who are new to using computers and digital tools.
- Workplace Computing: Foundations – For individuals seeking to improve their technology skills to enhance their job search and employability.
- Workplace Computing: Advanced – For clients whose career goals require advanced technology proficiency and professional-level computer use.
Prerequisites
- Access to a computer with Microsoft Office 365 or newer and needed software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basic proficiency with screen reader or magnification software
Other prerequisites may be required depending on the program level.
