Group Volunteering

Group volunteering at the Carroll Center is a great way for your corporate team to connect with the community and show your commitment to support individuals who are blind and visually impaired.

Our group volunteer opportunities provide fun, team-building experiences for your employees that allows them to spend time together and get to know one another outside the office. Your employees will also receive a brief blindness etiquette training while on campus that educates them on how to interact with colleagues or customers who are blind or visually impaired.

We will work with you to create a volunteer experience that is rewarding for your employees and beneficial for our organization. Opportunities include beautifying our campus, supporting events, assisting us with client activities, sharing professional knowledge with our clients and staff, and more!

Often overlooked or underutilized, individuals who are blind or visually impaired present a valuable talent pool for various roles. Vision loss typically occurs later in life, leaving individuals with substantial work experience, needing only minor job adaptations. The Carroll Center for the Blind can equip your business with the resources and guidance required to harness this untapped talent and streamline the hiring process to address your needs.
