Universal Access Program (UAP)

As a member of SailBlind, you are required to enroll in Community Boating’s Universal Access Program (UAP) program. The membership fee for this is $50 or reduced fee of $1 up on request. You must bring the $50 or $1 with you on your first day of sailing to receive your membership card. Members in the UAP can schedule appointments to go sailing with one of the Community Boating Instructors outside of the Saturday SailBlind sessions by booking on the CBI “Schedule an Appointment” website page.

Guests

Our Commitment to Inclusion: To fulfill our mission of introducing as many new sailors as possible to the water, we prioritize seating for program participants. While guests are more than welcome to assist sailors to the sailboats and cheer them on from the shore, we ask that they remain on land while our sailors are out on the water. We appreciate your support in helping us reach more individuals through this policy. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please contact sailblind@carroll.org.

*For more information on CBI’s Junior Sailing Program, please contact Hannah King, hking@community-boating.org.

Guide Dogs

If you are a guide dog user, you will work with the SailBlind Director to determine the best plan of action for your dog while you sail.
