The series is designed for individuals who are blind or visually impaired, their family members, and professionals.

Quality sleep is vital for overall health, but for many people who are blind or visually impaired, the body’s natural sleep-wake cycle can be disrupted by a condition known as Non-24. In this session, Clinical Nurse Educator Maggie Felton, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, will explain the science behind circadian rhythms and Non-24, discuss its impact on daily life, and highlight strategies for managing symptoms. Attendees will also gain tools for self-advocacy and learn how to access resources and support to improve their quality of rest and overall well-being.

About The Speaker
Maggie Felton, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Educator with extensive experience in sleep and circadian rhythm disorders. She currently serves as a Nurse Educator with Vanda Pharmaceuticals, where she provides education and resources to individuals, providers, and community organizations supporting blind and visually impaired populations. Maggie has a deep clinical understanding of Non-24 Sleep-Wake Disorder and is passionate about increasing awareness, reducing health disparities, and helping patients navigate diagnosis and management through practical, patient-centered education.
