International Blind Fencing Competition
In partnership with the International Fencing Club, we’re proud to host the first-ever International Blind Fencing Competition, right here in Boston. From August 16–20, 2025, this historic event will bring together blind and low vision fencers from around the globe, elevating Blind Fencing to the world stage and building momentum for its inclusion in the Paralympic Games.
Since 1954, The Carroll Center for the Blind has taught blind fencing, helping participants enhance their spatial awareness, build confidence, and sharpen their physical and mental agility. More than a sport, fencing provides individuals who are blind or visually impaired with tools to navigate the physical world with greater confidence and independence.
