Spring Semester 2026, $1000 Stipend, In-Person, 10-15 Hours/Week
About Us
Each year, the Carroll Center for the Blind helps nearly 1,300 blind or visually impaired children, adults, and senior citizens gain the skills they need to live active and fulfilling lives. Our Newton campus houses our rehabilitation program, computer training classes, low vision store, and administrative offices. A large portion of our programs are services conducted in public schools, students’ homes, and their communities.
Who We Seek
Are you a Junior or Senior college student interested in gaining hands-on experience in a non-profit organization? Then you belong with us!
Join our team as a Marketing Intern for the spring semester (January until the end of May/ beginning of June 2026) and learn from marketing professionals about social media and website content creation, email marketing, collateral design, event promotion, and more!
This exciting opportunity will allow you to collaborate with our experienced Marketing and Development teams to better understand how our marketing strategy contributes to our organization’s overall success.
Responsibilities
- Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos for use on the website, social media, marketing emails, flyers, and other creative materials.
- Support event and program promotion through content creation for the website, email campaigns, and social media.
- Assist with copywriting for various marketing and communications initiatives.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, or a related field required.
- Prior marketing internship is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal/written communication skills required.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Docs is required.
- Experience using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Well-versed in Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn preferred.
