Congratulations to our Boston Marathon Runner, Lily McDonagh!

Congratulations to Lily McDonagh, our dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired, who represented The Carroll Center for the Blind at the 128th Boston Marathon!

Lily not only successfully finished the marathon but also surpassed her fundraising goal raising $5,728 to support the Carroll Center’s mission. These funds will help us continue providing crucial resources, training, and support for students with visual impairments, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

Following the marathon, Lily wrote on her Facebook page: “Thank you to the Carroll Center for the Blind and to the students and families who got me to the finish line with their amazing support! I truly could not have done this without you. I am still reeling from the excitement and joy of the day! One for the books!”

On behalf of The Carroll Center for the Blind, we thank Lily for her incredible passion and tireless efforts to create accessible and inclusive classrooms for students with visual impairments. We also thank everyone who showed their support by making a donation to Lily’s fundraising campaign. We truly appreciate your generosity!
