What to Expect
Cooking is more than just following a recipe – it’s about using all your senses. During this hands-on session, Carroll Center instructors will guide you and your family through a step-by-step cooking activity, where you’ll prepare a special treat to enjoy at the event and one to take home.
This event is all about making cooking accessible, fun, and inclusive. You’ll learn how to navigate kitchen tools confidently, using touch, sound, and smell to enhance your skills. No prior experience is needed – just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to make something delicious. Spots are limited, so be sure to RSVP soon.
NOTE: This event is recommended for ages 6 and up, but all family members are welcome. Children must be accompanied by at least one parent or guardian.
About Carroll Families
The Carroll Families initiative aims to support, educate, and connect parents and other caregivers of children who are blind or visually impaired.
