Sighted Guides

Responsibilities

You play a vital role in creating a safe, enjoyable, and empowering experience for our blind and visually impaired sailors. Your primary responsibility is to accompany sailors on the water, offering clear verbal guidance and assistance while fostering a sense of independence and confidence. You’ll help navigate the boat, provide direction during maneuvers, and ensure that the sailor feels comfortable and engaged throughout the journey. Your enthusiasm, patience, and attention to safety will help create an atmosphere of fun and adventure, enabling participants to explore the joys of sailing in a supportive and inclusive environment.
