About The Walk for Independence

The Walk for Independence is our signature fundraising event that brings the community together to celebrate and support our mission to empower those who are blind or visually impaired to achieve independence and to lead a fulfilling life.

Guest Speakers:

  • Nick Corbett, Carroll Center Program Manager of Rehabilitation Services, who will share helpful information about the accessibility of the walk and how to have the most effective mobility to and around the event.
  • Brian Valentim, returning team captain, who will speak to his experiences attending the walk while leading one of our most successful teams.
