You’re invited to join us at The Carroll Center for the Blind’s annual Holiday Shopping Spree, Craft Fair and Caregivers Seminar! During this two-day only event taking place December 6th & December 7th, experience The Carroll Center like never before. There will be special Carroll Store sales, a seminar for caregivers about vision loss and even a crafts fair featuring products made by blind and visually impaired individuals. This two-day event is free and open to the public.

Holiday Shopping Spree at The Carroll Store

(December 6th: 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. | December 7th: 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.)

Craft Fair featuring Artists with Visual Impairments

(December 7th: 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.)

Breathtaking jewelry, stunning pottery, various intricate crafts and all types of incredible handmade goods will be on display at the Crafts Fair. The Crafts Fair showcases a variety of artwork and crafts from talented designers, makers, crafters and dreamers who are blind and visually impaired.

 

Caregiving for Persons with Vision Loss [Seminar]

(December 7th: 1:30 P.M. to 3:00 P.M.)

As many people age, it is not uncommon that they can experience some form of decline with their vision. However, more serious changes to eyesight can also occur at anytime. Taking care of a loved one who is dealing with vision loss can present unique challenges. Let us help you navigate the many resources and devices available for your loved one and provide you with the information needed to best support them. In this free seminar, you’ll learn from Carroll Center for the Blind vision specialists about the latest technology, sighted guide techniques, simple daily living adaptations and counseling support which can help you support your loved one with vision loss.
