AdaptiVision OrCam Demo Day
On Friday, May 20, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. ET, AdaptiVision, Inc., a leading provider of low vision solutions, will lead a free OrCam Demo Day at the Carroll Center for the Blind, one of the most prominent blindness rehabilitation centers in the world.
AdaptiVision’s president, Stuart Flom, will demonstrate OrCam’s latest technology for blindness and low vision, including the OrCam MyEye wearables and the OrCam Read handheld reading device. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the technology firsthand by trying out the devices.
The OrCam MyEye PRO is a small, discreet wearable that uses artificial intelligence to help blind or low vision users identify text, recognize faces, distinguish colors and currency, and identify products. The OrCam Read Smart, recently named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Best Inventions of 2021, is a handheld reading pen that instantly reads aloud any printed or digital text, capturing full pages with the press of a button. All of the devices now include interactive Smart Reading and respond to voice commands, similar to other virtual assistants.
“As a long-term distributor of OrCam products, I have watched OrCam revolutionize the industry by packing the most sophisticated AI technology into small, reliable, easy-to-use devices,” said Flom. “I am excited to share these latest innovations with the community, and I’m especially grateful to the Carroll Center for hosting us.”
The OrCam Demo day event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required.
