SUMMER DEVELOPMENT DATABASE INTERN (ON CAMPUS/HYBRID)

The Carroll Center for the Blind is seeking an enthusiastic, professional, detail-oriented and organized, Summer Development Database Intern. This is a great opportunity for a student seeking experience to learn fundraising essentials, research tools and understand the strategic importance of database management.
The Summer Development Database Intern position will be on campus, with the opportunity to be hybrid. This internship will run June through August with the possibility to extend beyond the summer.
Each year, The Carroll Center for the Blind helps more than 4,000 blind or visually impaired children, adults and senior citizens gain the skills they need to live active and fulfilling lives. Our Newton campus houses our rehabilitation program, computer training classes, low vision store, and administrative offices. A large portion of our programs are services conducted in public schools, in clients’ homes, and in the community.
- Assist in entering key data into Raiser’s Edge, the Carroll Center’s donor database.
- Assist with mailings, filing, and special projects as needed.
- Support the Development Team with various projects.
- Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written, and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Docs.
